Upson Hall

Her name was 314, she was an applet
With buttons in her hair and a textbox right down to there
She could do the simulate, and even edit
But while she tried to run fast,
The server would always crash
Across from the metal door, It ran her Java core
They were mechanical and they had each other
Who could ask for more?

At the Upson (Up!) Upson at Cornell (Cornell)
The hottest spot north of the Collegetown
At the Upson (Up!) Upson at Cornell (Cornell)
Web hosting and coding and students foreboding
At the Cornell.... no Students got on....

His name was Microsoft. Microsoft VM.
He implanted hit presence here, in the NTs in Upson there
And when the class began, he called 314 over,
But VM went to far, we only had a simulator
And the exceptions flew and were case sensitive too
There load words and a single blue screen
But just who crashed who?

At the Upson (Up!) Upson at Cornell (Cornell)
The hottest spot north of the Collegetown
At the Upson (Up!) Upson at Cornell (Cornell)
Web hosting and coding and students foreboding
At the Upson... she lost her host.

Upson.... Upson at Cornell.... Web hosting and coding.... students foreboding...

Her name was 314, she was an applet
But that was seven months ago, when a server ran the code.
Now it's done locally, but not for 314
Still in the byte codes she used to share,
Broken buttons in her hair.
She runs there so refined, and spits out hex half blind.
She lost her host and her pretty picture,
Now she's lost her mind!

At the Upson (Up!), Upson at Cornell (Cornell)
The hottest spot north of the Collegetown
At the Upson (Up!), Upson at Cornell
Web hosting and coding and students foreboding
At the Upson.... beware of bugs...
